Our Core Privacy Commitment: 100% Client-Side Processing

Image Scanner Online (imagescanneronline.com) is built on a zero-upload, client-side architecture. Your uploaded photos, documents, camera captures, and generated PDFs never leave your personal computer or mobile device. All perspective corrections and image enhancements occur strictly in your local browser RAM.

1. Zero Server Document Uploads & Data Retention

Unlike traditional cloud conversion utilities, Image Scanner Online does not operate an upload server, cloud storage bucket, or remote file processing pipeline.

When you select a document or snap a photo with your camera, the binary pixel data is loaded directly into your browser via standard HTML5 Canvas and WebAssembly. We do not transmit, view, copy, log, or store your documents, receipts, contracts, or personal identity cards.

2. Google AdSense Advertising & DoubleClick DART Cookies

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements when you visit our website. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on Image Scanner Online (imagescanneronline.com).

Google's use of advertising cookies, including the DoubleClick DART cookie, enables it and its partners to serve personalized ads to our users based on their visits to our site and other websites across the Internet.

Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting the Digital Advertising Alliance Consumer Choice page or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

3. GDPR & CCPA/CPRA Privacy Rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for European Economic Area (EEA) and UK residents, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) for California residents, users are entitled to specific rights regarding their data.

Because our document scanner runs 100% client-side, we never collect, monetize, sell, or share your personal documents or sensitive paperwork. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

If you have inquiries regarding privacy rights, or wish to exercise your rights under GDPR or CCPA regarding website interactions, you may contact our dedicated privacy officer.

4. Cookies & Local Storage Preferences

Our website uses browser localStorage exclusively to remember non-identifying user interface preferences, such as your chosen visual theme (Dark mode or Light mode).

Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies or web beacons to collect non-personally identifiable information (such as browser type, timestamp, and referring URL) to measure advertising effectiveness and prevent ad fraud.

5. Camera & Device Hardware Access

When you choose to capture a document using the "Camera" feature, your browser prompts you for camera access via the standard W3C navigator.mediaDevices.getUserMedia API.

Video stream frames are rendered directly into an internal canvas element in your local memory. They are discarded immediately upon shutter capture and are never recorded or transmitted outside your device.
